Visual Development
This is the page for a detailed look into my short film "Maya & Gromms".
It is an original short/animatic involving three young skaters who attempt a skating competition and end up being the stars of the show!
I pitched the short in the span of 2 weeks and presented it. The visual inspiration is that of Rocket Power and something like Craig of the Creek.
When exploring these characters, I knew I wanted Maya to be their leader and wanted her to seem smart and sure of herself.
I knew Grem needed Rocket Power and rascal-y vibes, and Kon needed to seem nervous and shy.
